On August 1, 2020, 17-year-old Madison Fisher-Brenes, a female from Bedford, Texas, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in the parking lot of a CVS pharmacy located at 601 N. Industrial Boulevard. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. when Madison and a friend had arranged to meet someone to sell THC vape cartridges. During the transaction, an argument broke out, and Madison was shot in the chest by the suspect.
