On the night of August 26, 2020, at approximately 10:48 p.m., Austin Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 2100 block of Elmont Drive, located just north of East Riverside Drive in Southeast Austin. Upon arrival, they discovered Paul Brown, a 21-year-old African American male, suffering from a gunshot wound.
