Lueseais Steward, a 40-year-old man from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically died on August 29, 2020. He was shot in the chest outside the Eco Motel on East Lancaster Avenue after a confrontation with Brent Crenshaw, who was 39 years old at the time. The incident stemmed from a dispute over a drug debt that Crenshaw claimed Steward owed him.
Witnesses reported that Crenshaw accused Steward of theft after he arrived on a motorcycle, and the altercation was captured on motel surveillance video.
