In the early evening hours of a cold Monday in St. Louis, Missouri, a dispute turned deadly, forever altering the lives of those connected to Michael Pankins. On February 9, 2015, the 48-year-old African-American man was involved in an altercation with two other men in the 4500 block of North Kingshighway Boulevard.
