Mikell Potts, a 16-year-old male student at Dekaney High School in Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on December 31, 2020. Potts, who was a backup quarterback for the school's varsity football team, was shot and killed after he approached a small four-door car that was stopped in the road. The car sped away from the scene immediately after the shooting. Investigators have not yet determined a motive for the killing.
