On June 28, 2015, authorities in St. Louis, Missouri, were called to a scene of violence in the city's West End neighborhood. Police officers arrived at the 1200 block of Hodiamont Avenue, near the intersection with Suburban Avenue, where they discovered the aftermath of a shooting. There they found 20-year-old Cartez Johnson, a male resident of St. Louis, suffering from critical gunshot wounds.
