Joshua Bartlett, a 38-year-old white male, died on July 15, 2021, in Levelland, Texas. He was a Sergeant with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office and served as the Assistant Commander of the SWAT team. Bartlett was also a U.S. Army combat-wounded veteran who served two tours in Iraq. On the day of his death, Bartlett was involved in a SWAT standoff in Levelland. The situation began when officers responded to a call about a possibly armed individual.
