Jesus Benito Canales, a 43-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on July 26, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. He was found in the parking lot of Lupita Café on Oates Road with a gunshot wound at around 2:19 a.m. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him deceased at the scene. Witnesses reported that the suspect fled the scene in a dark grey or charcoal pickup truck. The motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide are still under investigation.
