Antonio. On the night of August 15, a fight broke out inside the bar and spilled into the parking lot, where gunfire erupted. Mauro, along with two other individuals, April Rodriguez and Dan Edward Martinez , was fatally shot. Two others were hospitalized in critical condition.
Following the incident, San Antonio police arrested two suspects, Daniel Barragan and Eduardo Delarosa, who were later indicted on capital murder charges. The indictment stated that Barragan and Delarosa intentionally and knowingly caused the deaths of Mauro Rodriguez, April Rodriguez, and Dan Martinez by shooting them with a deadly weapon. Surveillance footage and social media videos captured the fight and the shooting, which led to the arrests.
The cases against Barragan and Delarosa are being prosecuted by the Criminal Trial Division in the 379th District Court.
