Jose Angel Avila, a 39-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on August 15, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2700 block of Vilbig Street. Officers found Avila lying in the middle of the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of Dallas Fire-Rescue, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive and circumstances surrounding Avila's death remain under investigation.
