On November 9, 2021, 18-year-old Malakai McAfee was found dead in Plano, Texas. McAfee, an African American male, was discovered around 7 a.m. in the 800 block of Arbor Downs Drive, one block north of Warwick Drive, where police had initially responded to reports of gunfire around midnight. The investigation revealed that McAfee had been shot, and his death was ruled a homicide.
