Carrie Rodriguez, a 41-year-old woman from Austin, Texas, was found dead on March 21, 2022, in what authorities have ruled as a murder-suicide. Carrie Rodriguez, along with her husband Moises Pita-Rodriguez, 36, were discovered in their home on Bodgers Drive with "obvious trauma" in a bedroom. The Austin Police Department responded to a welfare check call at approximately 3:55 p.m. and found the couple deceased about an hour later.
