Eva Mireles, a 44-year-old Hispanic woman, tragically lost her life on May 24, 2022, during the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Eva was a dedicated fourth-grade teacher who heroically sacrificed herself to protect her students from the gunman. She was born on March 17, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 1996. Eva was known for her vibrant personality, love for CrossFit, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Kane.
