On September 4, 2022, Emily Rodriguez-Avila, a 16-year-old Hispanic female, was tragically found dead on the side of County Road 3550 near Plum Grove in Cleveland, Texas. Emily, who worked at Niko Niko's restaurant, was discovered still wearing her hairnet and uniform. She had been shot twice, once in the head and once on her side.
