Jennifer Brewer Rooney, a 44-year-old woman from Bristol, TN, tragically lost her life on July 7, 2016. She was a newspaper carrier for the Bristol Herald Courier and was killed in a random shooting incident that also left four others injured, including a police officer. The shooting occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Volunteer Parkway near the Days Inn and O'Reilly Auto Parts. The shooter, armed with two guns, fired at the Days Inn and vehicles along the roadway.
