In the late summer of 2016, a tragedy unfolded in the small city of Trenton, Tennessee, ending the life of a woman remembered for her loving and dependable nature. Angela Pigue, a 50-year-old female, died on August 23, 2016, in what police would later describe as a murder-suicide. She was found in the driver's seat of a vehicle near an intersection after police responded to reports of a car crash and gunshots.
The investigation by the Trenton Police Department revealed that Angela Pigue
had been shot by her husband, 53-year-old Cedric Pigue. According to the police chief's preliminary findings, Cedric Pigue shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself as officers arrived at the scene. Both Angela and Cedric Pigue were pronounced dead at the location.
Angela, who was born on July 23, 1966, had moved back to her hometown of Trenton in 2010 and married Cedric in 2011. She was described as a model employee at her job and a devout individual who loved her family and friends. Her death left behind a grieving family, including her mother, six children, and nine grandchildren. As the perpetrator died at the scene, no arrests were made in connection with Angela's death.
