Anthony DeWayne Pope, a 21-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically died on August 29, 2016, in Memphis, Tennessee. Pope was fatally shot outside a Raleigh convenience store on Hawkins Mill Road. Surveillance video from the scene showed a gray SUV pulling into the parking lot, with the driver opening his door and waiting for Pope to come out of the store.
