Willie Patton, a 36-year-old resident of St. Louis, Missouri, was found shot to death on April 2, 2017. The incident occurred during a particularly violent year for St. Louis, which experienced one of its highest homicide rates in recent years. Patton was discovered by law enforcement after officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds.
