On June 15, 2017, 24-year-old Chelsea Kessel was found dead in her home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, along with 43-year-old Tessa Deuschle and 49-year-old Michael Deuschle. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. According to the Oak Ridge Police Chief Jim Akagi, the preliminary investigation indicated that Kessel and Deuschle were shot first, and then Michael Deuschle took his own life.
