On the night of Friday, June 16, 2017, violence erupted in the Lewis Place neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the life of a young man named DeMarco Latoris Mars. The 22-year-old resident was walking along the 3800 block of Labadie Avenue around 10:00 p.m., accompanied by another man.
