Luther Street, a 41-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on April 10, 2018, at America's Best Value Inn in Whitehaven, Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred inside a hotel room at 1360 Springbrook shortly before 10 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing two men flee the scene in a black car, possibly a Nissan, immediately after the shooting.
