In the autumn of 2018, the quiet grounds of Beech Bend Park in Decaturville, Tennessee, became the scene of a fatal encounter for Jerrel Barber, a 57-year-old man who had been residing at the campground for a couple of weeks. On the evening of October 14, an altercation escalated into violence, ending Barber's life. He had reportedly been involved in a dispute with another couple at the campground prior to the deadly incident.
