In the rural landscape of northern Wayne County, Tennessee, a domestic dispute on a January night in 2019 escalated to a fatal conclusion, ending the life of 48-year-old James John Donahue. On the evening of January 22nd, at his residence on Suckstem Branch Road in Waynesboro, Donahue was shot and killed. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding the shooting shortly before 10 p.m. and upon their arrival, they discovered Donahue deceased from a single gunshot wound.
