In the autumn of 2019, the life of Raymond Cody Sonwineski, a 29-year-old male, was abruptly ended in Munford, Tennessee. On the afternoon of November 14th, a Thursday, an altercation occurred at a residence on Bass Avenue. During this dispute, shots were fired, and Sonwineski was fatally wounded. He was discovered outside the home and transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton, where he was pronounced dead.
The Munford Police Department, with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of
Investigation, quickly launched a joint investigation into the shooting. Their efforts led them to identify a suspect in the tragic event.
Following the initial investigation, law enforcement officials took a 19-year-old from Drummonds, Matthew Bogenschneider, into custody. He was subsequently charged with one count of reckless homicide in connection with the death of Sonwineski. Bogenschneider was arrested and booked into the Tipton County Jail, with his bond set at $100,000.
