In the quiet town of Rogersville, Tennessee, a young man's life was cut short on the evening of December 30, 2020. Jordan R. Pilcher, a 25-year-old male, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office received a call about a shooting at approximately 6:24 p.m. and dispatched deputies to a residence at 1705 Burem Road.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Pilcher's body.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting began immediately. During the course of their work, detectives identified a suspect in the case.
Nathan Kendrick Lane, 35 years old at the time, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting. Lane was subsequently charged with second-degree murder. He was taken into custody and held without bond at the Hawkins County Jail. His initial court appearance was scheduled for March 1, 2021, in the Hawkins County General Sessions Court.
