In the late hours of a summer evening in Memphis, Tennessee, an act of kindness took a tragic turn, ending the life of 35-year-old Juan Marcos Garcia. On August 5, 2022, Garcia was providing a ride to an individual when he was ambushed and fatally shot. The incident was one of three separate shootings that occurred within a two-hour span in the city, contributing to a night of violence that left one person dead and a child injured.
