Charlotte Joan Yablonski, a 25-year-old woman of Polish-American ethnicity, was tragically murdered on December 31, 1969, in Clarksville, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Joseph "Jock" Yablonski and Margaret Yablonski, who were also killed in the same incident. The murders were carried out by three hitmen hired by W.A. "Tony" Boyle, the president of the United Mine Workers of America , after Jock Yablonski lost an election for the presidency of the union to Boyle.
