Catherine VanderVeur, a 69-year-old woman, was tragically killed on July 16, 1982, in Villanova, Pennsylvania. She was the housekeeper for Courtlandt S. Gross, the former head of Lockheed Aircraft Corp., and his wife, Alexandra Gross. The couple and Catherine were found shot to death in their home. The investigation revealed that the intruders had forcibly entered the home, and it appeared that the Grosses and Catherine were killed instantly.
