Detective Lynn Russell Sutter, aged 41, was a male officer of Caucasian ethnicity who served with the Bethel Park Police Department in Pennsylvania. On March 28, 1987, Detective Sutter was involved in an undercover drug operation with a multi-agency task force. During a drug raid on Segar Road in Mount Lebanon Township, Detective Sutter was accidentally shot by another officer who mistook him for a suspect.
