On January 8, 1989, Charles P. Hegarty, a 46-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, was tragically murdered at a McDonald's restaurant in West Goshen Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Alongside him, Jean Reider, a 41-year-old female from Newark, Delaware, was also killed. Both victims were found with single gunshot wounds to the head.
