In the late autumn of 2001, the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, was rocked by a violent crime that cut short the life of a man dedicated to the legal system. Bobby G. Dykes, a 45-year-old male, was fatally shot on November 27, 2001. At the time of his death, Dykes was employed by the City of Philadelphia, where he served as a public defender's aide.
