Lena Zook Miller, a 7-year-old girl from Paradise, Pennsylvania, tragically lost her life on October 2, 2006. She was a member of the Old Order Amish community and attended the West Nickel Mines School. On that fateful day, a gunman named Charles Carl Roberts IV entered the school and took the children hostage. He lined up the girls, aged 6 to 13, against the chalkboard and allowed the boys and adults to leave. Roberts then barricaded the door and proceeded to shoot the girls.
