Laurin Edwards, a 19-year-old female student at Saint Francis University, tragically lost her life on August 22, 2013, in Shaler Township, Pennsylvania. She was fatally shot by her father, James Edwards, inside their family home on Winterset Drive. The incident also resulted in injuries to her mother, Charlene Edwards, and her brother, James J. "Jimmy" Edwards, who were both critically wounded but survived.
