A mother of four, she was known for her love of sunflowers, tattoos, and her past work as a school bus driver. Her sudden death, which occurred in her home on South Market Street in Penn Township, was the result of a violent domestic dispute that ended in gunfire.

Bailor, then 35, called 911 to report that his wife had attacked him and he had shot her. However, he later admitted to state police investigators that he had slapped his wife and then shot her after she picked up the phone. An autopsy would later reveal that Leslie had been shot four times with a 9mm pistol.
Following an investigation into the fatal shooting, Brad Bailor was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife. Described as having a 'rocky' marriage, the couple's marital problems culminated in this tragic event. The legal proceedings against Brad Bailor moved forward, and he faced a bench trial in Snyder County.
During the two-day trial, there was no dispute that Bailor had shot his wife. His defense, however, claimed that he did not intend to kill her.
