On the evening of April 10, 2014, a violent home invasion in the Hawkins Village housing complex in Rankin, Pennsylvania, claimed the life of 46-year-old Lee Williams of Braddock. Williams was fatally shot in the chest when two men broke into an apartment in what authorities believe was an attempted robbery. The assailants forced their way into the residence shortly before 9 p.m., leading to the deadly confrontation that ended Williams's life.
