In the midst of a Fourth of July cookout in 2014, Kaamil Arnold, a 30-year-old male, was shot and killed in the kitchen of a home in Homewood, Pennsylvania. The celebration turned to tragedy at approximately 3:15 p.m. when a man entered the residence through a back door and opened fire on Arnold. The assailant fired twice, striking Arnold, who died at the scene. The shooter then fled through the front door of the Tioga Street home.
