On the morning of February 18, 2015, 44-year-old Monica Lynn Miller, a White female, was preparing to leave for her job at a local nursing home. As she was warming up her car outside her Ephrata, Pennsylvania apartment complex, she was confronted and fatally shot. The incident occurred around 6:20 a.m. in the 500 block of East Main Street. Her daughter, who lived with her, heard the gunshots and discovered her mother's body in the parking lot.
