Death by Force

On May 2, 2010, Francisco Cantu, age 43, was found dead in Detroit, Michigan, at the intersection of Clayton and Clippert streets. His homicide was one of many that contributed to the violent crime statistics for Detroit that year. In 2010, the city recorded a total of 308 homicides, which, although slightly lower than the previous years, still indicated the ongoing struggle the community faced with high crime rates and systemic challenges related to violence.
