On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 8:04 PM, the Upland Borough Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the rear alley of the unit block of 8th Street in Upland, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Mark Bell, a Black male from Upland, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Bell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that Bell had been involved in a dispute with another individual prior to the shooting.
