William Scott Will Porterfield, a 27-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity from Melcroft, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life on January 28, 2018. He was one of four victims fatally shot at Ed's Car Wash in Melcroft. The incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m., when Timothy Smith, a 28-year-old male, opened fire on the group with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a 9mm handgun. Smith also sustained a gunshot wound, believed to be self-inflicted, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
