George McCormick, an 83-year-old man from State College, PA, tragically lost his life on January 24, 2019. He was fatally shot in the head by a gunman who had earlier attacked a bar near Penn State University. The suspect, Jordan Witmer, 21, had also shot two other individuals at the bar before fleeing to McCormick's home, where he broke in and killed McCormick. Witmer then took his own life as police arrived at the scene.
