He was born on November 18, 1994, in San Diego, California, and was the son of Melissa Molina of Ashland and Manuel Steve Molina of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Steven graduated from North Schuylkill High School and attended Clarion University, where he was a member of the swim team.
He worked at Tri-State Envelope and enjoyed spending time with friends, playing video games, and singing karaoke.
Steven's death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred early on the morning of August 26, 2019, at a home on Hobart Street in Gordon. According to court documents, 36-year-old Michael Grady, who was hosting a party at his home, was accused of shooting Steven. Grady allegedly handed Steven a shotgun, which discharged and fatally struck Steven in the neck. Grady, who had reportedly consumed about ten beers before the incident, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person. He was arraigned and committed to Schuylkill County Prison without bail.
The investigation revealed that Steven had asked to look at Grady's shotgun, leading to the tragic accident. Two other men were present in the home at the time but were not injured.
