On a spring night in 2020, a young Black man named Jahrell Jenkins, aged 20, was fatally shot in Tioga, Pennsylvania. The tragic events unfolded in the early morning hours of May 31, 2020. A dispute that began inside a gentlemen's club called Fred's Woodshed in Tioga Township spilled out into the night.
Outside the establishment, the altercation escalated, and Jenkins was shot twice in the back.
He was rushed to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, but the injuries he sustained proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The Pennsylvania State Police from the Mansfield barracks launched a homicide investigation into the shooting.
