In the fall of 2020, the life of a 25-year-old African American woman, Naima A. Ishmail, was tragically cut short in Chester, Pennsylvania. A receptionist known for her friendly and compassionate personality, Ishmail's body was discovered on the morning of October 7, 2020, on a walking trail near the waterfront at Front and Norris streets. An autopsy later confirmed that she had died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide.
