Shaquille Love, a 21-year-old male from Bristol Township, PA, was tragically shot and killed on December 23, 2020. Love was an innocent bystander who was giving a friend a ride when he was fatally shot in the head through the driver's side window of his car. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Edgely Road, and the motive behind the shooting was linked to a long-standing feud between rival neighborhoods in Bristol Township.
The investigation into Love's death led to the arrest and conviction of Kelvontae Nasheed Perry, a 30-year-old man from Bristol Township. Perry was found guilty of third-degree murder, aggravated assault, and several other related charges on December 9, 2024. During the trial, it was revealed that Perry was driving a gold Lexus and following Love's vehicle moments before the shooting. A co-conspirator, who was with Perry in the car, fired the fatal shot. Perry's vehicle was later found at his girlfriend's apartment complex.
Another individual, Quashaad James, 29, of Bristol Township, was implicated in the case but has not yet been charged. James is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges and awaits trial on perjury and false swearing charges for allegedly lying to a grand jury about the case.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office praised the investigative team for their dedication and hard work in securing Perry's conviction. The Love family has expressed their grief and called for an end to the violence in Bristol Township. The sentencing for Perry has been deferred for 90 days pending a pre-sentence investigation.
