Robert J. Hamm III, a 61-year-old man from Berwick, PA, tragically passed away on May 15, 2021, at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. The incident occurred at the Pennsylvania Game Commission shooting range in Archbald, Lackawanna County. Hamm was injured when a handgun he was using exploded upon being fired by another person in close proximity. The gun, owned by Hamm, was believed to have been loaded with reloaded ammunition.
