In the late hours of a Wednesday in August 2021, the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, was disturbed by the sound of gunfire. Police were first called to the area of 9th and Tilghman Streets around 11:30 p.m. for reports of shots fired. Moments later, the call was updated to a shooting in the vicinity of 9th and Kerlin Streets. The investigation that followed led officers to the 800 block of Concord Avenue, where a grim discovery was made.
