On August 27, 2021, 8-year-old Fanta Bility was fatally shot outside the Academy Park High School football stadium in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania. Fanta, a young girl of Liberian descent, was leaving a high school football game with her family when police officers opened fire in response to a nearby shooting. Tragically, one of the bullets struck Fanta, leading to her death.
