Travorious Gudger, a 20-year-old male from Apalachicola, Florida, tragically lost his life on December 9, 2021, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Gudger was found in the rear parking lot area near Broadway of the Wawa convenience store in Fountain Hill, having been shot multiple times. His death was ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County Coroner’s office.
The incident occurred when Gudger and Jarrett Hunter Hein, a 23-year-old male from Fountain Hill, arranged to meet through an online site
where Hein was selling a .357 magnum handgun. Gudger expressed interest in purchasing the gun, and the two corresponded for over a week before deciding to meet in the Wawa parking lot. Upon meeting, Hein showed the handgun to Gudger, who then ran away with the weapon. Hein, who had a 9mm Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun, allegedly pulled it from his holster and fired multiple shots at Gudger as he fled. Hein then called 911 to report the shooting.
Following the incident, Hein was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, a felony of the first degree. He was held in Lehigh County Jail without bail. The Lehigh County Homicide Task Force and First Assistant District Attorney Steven M. Luksa were among the investigating agencies involved in the case.
