A tragic turn of events on a Monday afternoon on Detroit's east side left a family mourning the loss of a young man. Tavonte Mathis-Jones, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot in a quadruple shooting on Haverhill Street. The incident, which also left another 20-year-old man in critical condition and a 19-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries, is believed to have stemmed from an altercation.
